Join our Adult Social Care team and be part of a team committed to making social change a reality. We are building an Adult Social Care system that is based on relationships, love and what matters most to the people we support.

Who we are

In Camden we want everyone to be able to do the things that matter to them and to be as healthy, active and independent as possible.  Our Adult Social Care service works with people over the age of 18 who live in Camden who may need some support to achieve this.

There are a wide range of people who draw on Adult Social Care, so we have lots of different teams and careers to choose from. If you want a job that makes a real difference we are confident there is a role for you here.

Our Adult Social Care service proudly focusses on improvement, change and transformation. Our staff are central to our success and are involved every step of the way.

Our teams

We have various frontline and non-frontline roles across many teams:

  • Community Learning Disability Service
  • Support and Safeguarding (including Neighbourhoods, Access and Response, Mental Health, Safeguarding and Hospitals)
  • Direct Payments
  • Personal Finance Services
  • Business Analytics
  • Resource Coordination and Awards and Contributions
  • Strategy and Commissioning
  • Provider Services (including telecare, day services, shared lives, CQC registered accommodation services)

  • positive risk taking as an essential part of independent living

Our learning and development offer

Nurturing and supporting our workforce is a key principle of valuing our staff. Our offer includes opportunities to:

  • undertake a range of training from our extensive learning and development programme
  • take on an apprenticeship or an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) role
  • obtain additional qualifications including Practice Educator, Best Interest Assessor and Approved Mental Health Practitioner
  • participate in projects across ASC and the wider council
  • work in a wide range of roles and services to broaden your experience, including through secondment opportunities
  • take up a Practice Educator role to support newly qualified colleagues
  • participate in peer supervision and reflective practice
  • participate in research either through Making Research Count events, contributing towards the research of others or undertaking your own research
